I Like Music Because heading
  • simon f bakersimon f baker: ilikemusic because... you can transcend the confines of the material world with it, it's probably better than shagging in fact. There is virtually nothing more satisfying than when a load of chords and words suddenly come together into a song ; suddenly everything in life seems to fit and make sense once more.

50 Cent - Outta Control

New single, UK tour and special edition of
The Massacre just some of 50's forthcoming activity

50 Cent, the biggest rapper in the world right now, has a whole host of projects on the go, with an impressive batch of happenings due over the next few months.

50's new single, the Dr. Dre-produced Outta Control, released on 12th September. A brand new remix of the track featuring Mobb Deep will be included on the special edition of The Massacre album, released on 5th September and includes new artwork, DVD footage and sleeve notes. After reaching #1 in the UK and US, The Massacre has sold 6.5 million copies worldwide.

Also included on the DVD in the special edition of the Massacre will be a trailer for 50's forthcoming movie debut. Named after 50's eleven million-selling debut album Get Rich Or Die Tryin', the movie is loosely based on his life story. The soundtrack is due for release in the autumn with the film to follow in the UK early in 2006.

Another release is 50's autobiography, From Pieces To Weight, released on 5th September. It's a book that will shed new light on his childhood and upbringing and also give a rare insight into the world and mind of a superstar rapper.

Never one to rest on his laurels, 50 has continually added to his list of interests over the past couple of years, including a range of vitamin water, Formula 50, and the G Unit Clothing line, all of which make 50 Cent one of the most exciting and successful rappers of the 21st Century.
