DJ FORMAT
‘If You Can’t Join ‘Em… Beat ‘Em’
and tour dates

In April 2005, DJ Format released his long awaited second album 'If You Can't Join 'Em... Beat 'Em', the follow up to his highly successful 2003 debut 'Music for The Mature B-Boy', both on PIAS' Genuine imprint, home of renowned artists such as Amp Fiddler and new signing Little Barrie.

'If You Can't Join 'Em... Beat 'Em' includes songs road-tested at 2004's triumphant Leeds & Reading Festival appearances. It's supporting cast includes regular collaborator MC Abdominal, introduces the brilliant new talent of another Canadian MC, D-Sisive and once again features the more than dependable tones of Jurassic 5's Chali 2Na & Akil.

DJ Format's debut album 'Music for Mature B-Boy' is a word of mouth triumph. Having entered the game as Jurassic 5' van driver way back when on J5's first UK tour in '97 Format then cut his teeth with a series of remixes and compilation inclusions for the like of Mo Wax and esteemed US hip hop label Bomb's 'Return Of The DJ' series before settling down in 2002 on then new PIAS imprint Genuine Records to release his debut 'Ill Culinary Behaviour' EP and start work on the first album.
