Over the five years from releasing The Chronic, Dre produced, recorded and signed many new artists to Death Row. One of the first of Dre's protégés was a young rapper called Calvin Broadus, better known as Snoop Doggy Dogg.

This album collects the best tracks Dre and Snoop recorded for Death Row; tracks that defined the era and the genre. This is the first time such an album has been available in the UK.

Today, both Dre and Snoop are two of the biggest names in hip-hop, selling millions of records largely to fans too young to remember these early/mid-'90s recordings.

From Compton To Long Beach is released in conjuction with 2Pac - The Prophet Returns, a collection of his best recordings for Death Row.
