Sian Evans: ilikemusic because... when everyone you cared about lets you down (e.g. friends, boyfriend, parents) all at the same time music will always be there to pick you up and help you move on. ;-)
Sam, Get Cape Wear Cape Fly: ilikemusic because... Music is a special thing that is not like anything else in the world. You might argue that you can translate emotions through films and through books but anyone can make music, whether that be humming or singing along to the radio, it’s something that gives enjoyment and positivity to many people.Jay-Z : Yeah, yeah, yeah.
ILM: With that, do you ever space out on stage?
Jay-Z : Yeah, that happens as well, that happened with the Black album. I did a show at the Garden and I don't remember the experience at all, like I mean I see it when we made the DVD, so, you know, I see it happen on DVD, but I don't remember the night as it went by from memory. It's weird. It was just somewhere else.
ILM: In the middle of a song do you ever forget lyrics?
Jay-Z : Yeah, all the time, but the crowd helps me out a lot so it's kinda easy for me. You know I just start looking around for someone and I catch onto someone and I catch the lyrics from them, like… oh yeah, good, bring it right back. I did it the other night. I went from doing a song, Cry with Mary, and I went from the first verse and I just started doing the third verse on the second verse, and I'm doing it, and I'm doing it confidently like it's cool. Then I look at her and I see that she realises that I'm doing the third verse because of her ad libs, she's doing second verse ad libs over… over the third verse, and she's like… and I see her look, like "That can't be right" like she thought she had messed up, and I'm like…no… so… now I'm trying to get the the guy's attention, you know, Omar who was on the keyboards, who was pretty much the music director for the tour, and he's into it, just playing all this crazy stuff, he's playing it right and I can't get his attention. I'm like… "Yeah, I'm still a-rappin' like…" and I can't get his attention! So I'm like "Omar!" I have to say it while I'm still rapping. She don't get it brother! "Omar!" And he looks up, he's like "Oh, oh…." I'm telling him to put the music down so I act like I did it acapella, you know, and then you just put the music back at the end and start it all over again. So no-one knew. I mean you know the records but I do that all the time. Sometimes I go from first to third verse, or first to the bridge so, you know… they probably just thought I just spiced it up!
