Lupe Fiasco - I Gotcha

The groundbreaking Chicago bred MC, Lupe Fiasco is set to release his hot new Neptunes produced single 'I Gotcha' on November 27th through Atlantic Records.

This is the third track taken from his extraordinary US number 1 smash hit debut album FOOD & LIQUOR, which came out in September and sees him collaborating with Hip-Hop superstar - Pharrell Williams.

With the success of his previous singles, the skate-board love story - 'Kick Push' and the fantastical 'Daydreamin' which featured the honey toned vocals of Jill Scott, his new single 'I Gotcha' provides a new angle on this refreshingly honest MC. It also sees a union of pioneers for the new face of Hip Hop delivering a punchy, confident, feel-good track, allowing Lupe to show of his skills as a witty lyricist and the true king of assonance rhymes!

His Islamic background and exposure to different cultural influences growing up, combined with his understanding of Chicago street life has resulted in a refreshing take on the current Hip Hop scene. "Come in hip hop we've come to resurrect You" he says in 'I Gotcha' whilst mixing up cultural metaphors and questioning what is usually left un-questioned in the genre. This statement is becoming a reality.

With Jay Z serving as Executive Producer on this album and support of such Hip-Hop aristocracy as Kanye West - Lupe has already cemented his position as a significant player. This third self-assured single confirms his current position as a major new talent.
