Obie Trice - Snitch

Detroit's uncrowned prince of freestyle rap Obie Trice is back with 'Snitch' - the first single taken from his new album 'Second Round's On Me'. 'Snitch', featuring Akon, is released on 4th September through Shady/Interscope Records.

Obie and Akon have just recorded a performance of the single on crime drama CSI to be broadcast in the UK soon. Obie also appears as Big Pimpin in the film Life Goes On which is being premiered at this year's Cannes Film Festival.

Obie Trice hit the mainstream hip hop scene in 2003 when his single 'Got Some Teeth' went into the UK singles chart Top Ten while his album 'Cheers' went on to sell a million and a half worldwide.

Obie has been through some tough times recently not only losing his close friend Proof to gun violence but he was also a victim himself being shot on New Year's Eve last year with one of the bullets still said to be lodged in his head.

His latest album 'Second Round's On Me' has been executive produced by Eminem and also features additional production credits from JR Roten, Swinga, Sick Notes, 9th Wonder and Mr Lee. The album is out now

Also…Look out for street track 'Cry Now' already on the bubble. Also check out www.myspace.com/obietrice for album snippets.
