Ollie Bates a.k.a Illustrate has been rapping, producing, scratching and basically personifying Hip Hop - since, his early teens.
Born in High Wycombe (South Bucks) It was there that he honed his craft, developing his talents as a music artist by producing demos and receiving feedback from friends and relatives. Since then, his obvious flare and passion for creating music has developed incredibly and given rise to a series of critically acclaimed projects.
He has featured on various Headcount Records compilations, won various freestyle battles, supported the likes of Skinnyman & Phi Life Cypher at shows, released his own solo EP Bedroom Productions and mix CD Get The Picture (via Escape Route Music) and has now finished his debut album entitled The Stuff which is available from November 08 on Headcount Records.
If you don't know much about Illustrate at the moment - you should get to know! He's one of the freshest Hip Hop artists in the world today!
