RZA / Killa Kela/ Dan Le Sac & Scroobius Pip Live Review by Craig Montana
By 10 o'clock the Rzarector blessed the stage with an over sized WU varsity jacket and a bottle of champagne in hand. Seemingly happy and down for some banter the RZA broke down his philosophy for the peeps inside, happily hanging on his every word. 'If you aint having a good time; Then you wasting your time'. Apparently an attitude he inherited from the late, great ODB (R.I.P). He moved effortlessly through his tracks, the WU bangers, The Bob Diggi era, even some Gravediggers. Midway through the show, it was clear that RZA was and still is pretty deep when it comes to Hip Hop production and lyrical darts. His beats were super-before their time, the off key chords and clashing sounds of all his production, from 36 Chambers through to Bobby Digital.
The IndigO2's sound system bellowed out the thrashing guitar's of 4th Chamber and the cow bell of Ice Cream with RZA encouraging the crowd to sing along, which we did. All in all a decent show and a good night. Normally WU shows are tainted by something lacking but not on Monday night's treat, roll on the Digi snacks LP (June 24th)
