The new single comes from SoulStice and SBe who put out a dope album and constantly crank out great music. SoulStice does the best describing this concept record from his album, Beyond Borders which is in stores:
"Homophobia has been an undeniable theme in hip hop. However, hip hop music and culture has always had great potential to fuel progressive movement in society. As a hip hop artist and as an individual I aim to help move us in the direction of social progress. "Strange Kinda Love" is from "Beyond Borders," an international concept album I put together with Belgian beatsmith, SBe. Monique Harcum sings the hook. As it turns out, Monique is originally from Philly but moved to Belgium to marry a Belgian DJ that she met on tour. Myself and Monique are both part of mixed race couples, adding to the significance of the collaboration. I called her long distance from Maryland to explain the song idea to her. She resonated with it. Then, when I told her that the song would be called "Strange Kinda Love," her immediate response was "but we don't think our love is strange."
