Tim Westwood chats to I Like Music
With me, for me to get on the decks, I had to promote my own parties. I didn't sit at home waiting for a promoter to ring me, I had to go and put on my own party. To this day we still put our own parties on, because that's what we want to do. I wanted to get into TV, because I felt I was missing out on it, so we brought cameras and our own digital editor and started filming everything, so when Channel U came along and asked me to do a show we were all up and running. Then, off the back of that experience, we were doing Westwood TV for a year and a half on Channel U, so when Pimp My Ride asked me to come along for a test, I'd been standing in front of a camera for a year and a half. And then when YouTube blows up, we've got our cameras and our editor and footage archive of news, so we just knock it out.
