'Wait (The Whisper Song)' is the new single from the Atlanta duo, Ying Yang Twins. Taken from 'U.S.A (United State of Atlanta)', their follow up to 2003's million selling TVT debut album, 'Me and My Brother' (the 2nd biggest independent album of 2004), 'Wait' swaps Ying Yang Twins usual high-octane energy for sparse, rhythmic seduction.
'Wait' with its sultry, hushed vocal, is produced by long time producer and partner in crime, Beat-In-Azz and it looks like TVT and the Twins are about to cement the indelible mark they have made on hip hop. 'Wait' has hit the No. 1 spot in the States, it's the 2nd most streamed video on MTV.com, No. 3 in the US Rap Chart, No. 5 in the US R'n'B Chart, No. 3 ringtone in the US and is shifting into top 50 territory on The Billboard Hot 100. In the UK, 'Wait' has been added to Brand Spanking New Video on MTV Base. The remix features guest appearances from Missy Elliot, Busta Rhymes and Lil' Scrappy.
Growing up on the rough and rowdy side of East Atlanta, the Twins found a way out of trouble through their witty lyrics and outlandish beats. Kaine and D-Roc have had two hit albums (2000's 'Thug Walkin' and 2002's 'Alley: The Return of the Ying Yang Twins') and a string of hit radio and club singles including the massive 'Salt Shaker' to their credit. Last year, they helped Britney Spears further devalue her innocence by producing the single '(I Got That) Boom Boom'.
