Gwen Stefani will release her second solo album, The Sweet Escape, on December 4 through Interscope records. The new album is the follow-up to 2004's quadruple-platinum Love. Angel. Music. Baby which included the hits Hollaback Girl and What You Waiting For?
The lead single from The Sweet Escape is The Neptunes-produced Wind It Up and is released on December 11th. As you'd expect from Gwen it sounds like nothing else taking in a range of styles and influences to create a "beat for the clubs" The video will be directed by longtime collaborator Sophie Muller.
In the lead up to the release, there are 10 webisodes of a round 2-3 minutes each being periodically released each week. The webisodes feature behind the scenes on the making of the new record with Gwen and her producers hanging out in the studio and being interviewed.
