ILM: Any names?
Mike: Um..there's a chap, well, he's a bit more than a bedroom producer now, he's getting quite famous, but Stefan Anion. We have been absolutley all over for him for ages. He's this producer from Texas who is originally German. Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant producer. We started listening to his stuff and we were quite jealous actually...hahaha! He's really really good. It's always good to find some new people.
From our point of view, the fact that you can download stuff digitally gives you a lot more choice. On this new single that we are doing called The Formula of Fear, I think it is the most amount of mixes we have ever had done. I think, including instrumentals and acapellas, there are about 12 different versions of it. There's a Drums of Death Mix, we've done a club mix, there's a Long Range Mix, a Graffiti Mix, we've done a down tempo ambient one, there's all kinds of different treats in there. It just gives you an oppurtunity, rather than having four pieces of vinyl, you can now just put it up on beatport, put it up on iTunes. It is more of a viral marketing thing. It is very interesting, you get a good feel for what everybody likes. Things like beatport I think are just brilliant. Unfortunaltely things like going record shoipping are now just...well...I just go to beatport. There aren't many record shops left really.

Sam, Get Cape Wear Cape Fly: ilikemusic because... Music is a special thing that is not like anything else in the world. You might argue that you can translate emotions through films and through books but anyone can make music, whether that be humming or singing along to the radio, it’s something that gives enjoyment and positivity to many people.

It gives me an opportunity to truly express myself, unlike what happens in an everyday living situation where there are restrictions on you and limitations on you and demands on you and bills to pay, through music I can truly be comfortable with who I am, and do what I really want to do and say what I really want to say.

Ellen, Los Campesinos: ilikemusic because... It’s the best form of escapism that you can have wherever you are. You could be completely miserable or waiting for a bus and put on any song that inspires you and you can escape into a little world, well that’s what I tend to do anyway.
