Is It Any Wonder? is the debut single to be taken from Keane's forthcoming album Under The Iron Sea and is released May 29th.

Following the extraordinary Irvine Welsh directed 'Atlantic' video download on April 21st, this track confirms Keane's darker, bolder return.

Is It Any Wonder? realigns that passionate sense of Keane's trademark melody, but twists it with a grittier and angrier dynamic.

This questioning track highlights the frustrations of a generation dislocated from themselves, searching for an answer that is never there, a place that does not exist. A generation that feels powerless and disillusioned with the decisions made on behalf of them. A crisis of identity, a loss of innocence. A fairytale gone wrong.

Keane's experimental and unique piano-led sound on this album has been created by channelling the CP70 (Rice-Oxley's electric piano) into a plethora of effects pedals, thereby warping the conventional sound.

Is It Any Wonder? is released May 29th and the album 'Under The Iron Sea' on June 12th 2006.
