Although beware, if you go to Glastonbury, of the Pear Cider truck that sells hot cider with two shots of brandy in it. Me and Roy came a cropper on that. I had a couple of pints on the Saturday and passed out in a chair and Roy lost 18 hours on Sunday night after he had a couple of pints of it; that's where the B-side Glastonbury came from, getting very drunk on pear cider. One pint is lovely; don't have two or you'll cross the barrier.
ILM: Your Scouting For Girls album is fabulous with real anthems on there and 18 weeks after it was released it went to No.1 in the UK charts! On your blog Roy said, "I cant believe it. I've been taking photos of my computer screen to prove its true.." Which track did you have the most fun laying down in the studio?
GREG: They were all really great to lay down. Just being able to go to a proper studio and record the songs we'd been playing for a few years was an amazing experience. My highlight when were recording was that we got Pete our drummer to do tambourine on a few of the tracks and, as a bit of a wind up, Andy Green, our producer said, "Pete, when you do it this time try banging it against the floor on your hands and knees, the acoustics of the room will make it sound great, and watching Pete on his knees banging this tambourine on the floor while we were all rolling around the control room, dying of laughter, that was a highlight. And then he walked back and said, 'you guys are taking the piss aren't you?'
