GREG: Yeah, that was awesome.
ILM: Roy has a great ear for melody and hooks. Please can you describe the SCOUTING FOR GIRLS music making process? Lyrics first then melody or vice versa or just random?
GREG: Roy is a really prolific songwriter. He wanders around with a guitar or sits at the piano every day and comes up with tunes, and choruses and all sorts. He's got a wealth of ideas and tunes and then he comes to me and Pete and we'll sit down and put some music to it, and I'll add some girly backing vocals and so will Pete, but the initial melody and lyrics all come from Roy.
