FURTHER ADDITIONS TO THE MAIN AND XFM STAGES AND THIRD STAGE NOW CONFIRMED
Joining the main stage on Thursday 30th June will be the one and only Mr Pete Doherty and his post-Libertines outfit BABY SHAMBLES - currently recording a new album they'll no doubt bring the festival season alive with their own affected but always beautiful brand of pop. Also hitting the main stage and currently enjoying massive success with their single 'Jerk It Out' are the CAESARS. These will both be joined by politically charged performers THE RAKES who are also heading for the top 30 this week with their new single 'Retreat'. Over on the XFM Stage will be Australia's own CUT COPY.
Joining the XFM stage on Friday 24th June are Manchester pop'n'rollers PERFORMANCE and BOY KILL BOY. On Saturday 25th acclaimed garage MC LADY SOVEREIGN and the atmospheric electro-pop of TELEPOPMUSIC will be appearing on the main stage with M.I.A confirmed along with Finnish multi-instrumentalists HUSKY RESCUE for the XFM Stage. THE ENGINEERS will also be playing the XFM Stage on Wednesday 29th June.
Respected and widely acclaimed online music forum DROWNED IN SOUND.com have also now confirmed their involvement in the festivals 3rd Stage. They'll be bringing their own enthusiasm and passion to the Wireless festival experience. Confirmed to appear on the 3rd Stage so far are; JJ72, BLACK VELVETS, APARTMENT and THE BLUE VAN. Many more artists will be announced shortly. Legendary DJ GILLES PETERSON, GLIMMER TWINS and DUB PISTOLS will all play sets on the 3rd Stage on Saturday 25th June.
