Ash - Renegade Cavalcade

Ash return with a new single, (a new label) and some prestigious support shows...

The band release 'Renegade Cavalcade', the third single off their acclaimed 'Meltdown' album on December 6th.

Although lifted from 'Meltdown', 'Renegade Cavalcade' is the musical link from 2001's 'Free All Angels' to the harder edged feel of Ash circa 2004 and follows previous singles this year; 'Orpheus' and Starcrossed' alongside the download only track 'Clones'.

As ever, Tim Wheeler appears to make it seem a simple task to write a killer tune and harnessed with (the now almost) ubiquitous Ash harmonies, 'Renegade Cavalcade' certainly fulfils that criteria. From the intro with its spoken word - like lyrics and metronomic rhythm cruising through seemingly effortlessly into a fitful guitar wig out courtesy of Wheeler and fellow guitarist Charlotte Hatherley, 'Renegade Cavalcade' is perfect example of the new Ash and can be witnessed right now, as the band play on the UK tour as very special guests of The Darkness.

'Renegade Cavalcade' b/w new bsides; 'Ghost',
'We Don't Care' and an acoustic version of the title track will be available across two CD's and 7" through the newly reactivated Atlantic Records. Meanwhile those Darkness dates...

6th December Cardiff National Arena
7th/8th December Birmingham NEC
10/11/12th December London Wembley Arena
