Ciarran, The Feeling: ilikemusic because... I find it constantly inspiring and it’s a joy to listen to and a joy to play; it really is a huge part of my life.
Seaney Devereux: ilikemusic because... there's a song for every emotion and music creates debate and debate is what brings us together, it breaks down the walls that seperate sterotypes and it's always involved in your favourite youth memories.
FRANKYNERO: ilikemusic because... its the only way i can really express myself
dj tie one: ilikemusic because... its like cornflakes in the morning
Jun: ilikemusic because... music can convey a mood, enhance a mood or change a mood. Music can be used to inspire and the artform is simple yet complicated. It's fun to listen to and even more fun to create and perform. It speaks when just a simple word can't. It's a blessing!!
Taio Cruz: ilikemusic because... It’s my life and it’s the air that I breathe. It calms me when I’m feeling uptight and it’s there for me when I want to party if I want to listen to something up tempo, it’s just amazing in any situation. That’s why I like music!
Lyoko: ilikemusic because... i love dance, indie and urban genres!Their last two London gigs have been a who's who of the past few years of indie, with members of Maxïmo Park, The Rakes, Kaiser Chiefs and The Long Blondes nodding along one night and half the music industry, including Zane Lowe and Steve Lamacq, in attendance the next.
Subsequently, Maxïmo Park offered them the support slot at their massive show at Glasgow Academy, Drowned in Sound offered to release their next single via their digital singles club and offered them a tour with Metric, and somewhere along the line Panic! at the Disco caught wind of them - they'll support the Las Vegas-spawned emo megastars at Brixton Academy in October.
The band is BLOOD RED SHOES and they are from Brighton. They are two people: Laura-Mary (wishes she was Spanish) and Steven (wishes he was French). They play guitars and drums and they sing. It's not rare for them to play two gigs in a night. They've released three super-limited singles on bedroom labels so far, which are now completely sold out.
They release the Iain Gore (Babyshambles, Larrikin Love, Brakes, Les Incompetents) produced 'You Bring Me Down' in November via the Drowned in Sound Digital Singles Club. It's also available on limited 7" via Abeano Records, the label run by London indie super-club Frog.
