The first official single to be taken from CSS's forthcoming second album Donkey, Left Behind is a slick, spiky slice of electro-pop dynamite that sees lead singer Lovefoxxx make the transformation from underground scene queen into the rightful heir to Debbie Harry's long-lost, pop-punk-princess crown.
Produced by Adriano, and mixed by the uber-cool Spike Stent (Massive Attack / Gwen Stefani / Madonna / Bjork), it takes the explosive, slyly subversive CSS punk party blueprint we know and love, and injects it with a bigger, more expansive sound, a refined pop edge, and a deeper, darker, brooding undercurrent.
With a full tour planned for the Autumn, CSS will unveil their new material at festivals across the UK and Europe this Summer, with a headline appearance at the iTunes festival in July.
The single includes a cover of 'Cannonball' originally by The Breeders, and new b-sides.
Left Behind is released on July 14 (July 7 for Download)
