Coldplay - Speed Of Sound
'Speed of Sound,' the first single from Coldplay's third album 'X&Y', has proved a massive hit following its release as a digital download . The track reached No 1 on all 15 of iTunes Music Stores worldwide after only one day on release and is on course to register the highest week one download sales for any new track.

Speed of Sound has been No.1 on the iTunes chart worldwide for several weeks and already Coldplay's biggest US hit to date on download sales alone (it entered the Billboard Hot 100 at No.8, the highest new entry by a British artist since The Beatles 'Hey Jude' in 1968).
Following its first play on Steve Lamacq's Radio 1 show on Monday evening (April 18th) 'Speed of Sound' was released digitally by Parlophone through coldplay.com and through all digital retailers at midnight. The single is out now on physical formats on May 23rd, and 'X&Y' will follow on June 6th on both physical and digital formats. PLEASE GO BUY IT - if that darn frog gets number one something is sincerely wrong.
