Deeds Of The Nameless - Do I
Deeds of The Nameless are a young quartet hailing from the leafy wilds of North London. DOTN have been called 'one of the most exciting bands to come out of London this year' and their debut album Do I truly lives up to that austere moniker producing devastatingly intense rock tunes with great harmonic sensibilities.
From the moment the first chord is struck you are grabbed by the scruff of the neck and frog marched to the dance floor where a legion of sweaty fans awaits. Do I has a huge chorus that will surely be a hit with festival goers and children of the sun this summer. We see a different side of DOTN with the track Begging You, a real maturity in the songwriting comes through and you become enthralled by the soft yet soulful rhetoric that one of the singing brothers Richard Bueno delivers. Crooked Usage is a much more raucous affair with big guitars and even bigger riffs that gives a gentle nod to big Americana bands of the last decade. Already with a handful of celebrity endorsees including Alex Zane, Biffy Clyro, Mystery Jets and their ex-drummer Stef of the Klaxons it's clear we can expect big things from them in 2008.
