Gossip - Standing In The Way Of Control

Due to massive popular demand, Gossip will re-release the title track from their sensational album Standing In The Way Of Control on 26th March 2007.

Through download sales alone, the song crashed into the mid-week top 40 two months after its original release date of November 2006. This is in no small part due to the overwhelming public reaction to the Soulwax mix of the song as used in the trailer for Channel 4's major new drama, Skins. From the makers of Shameless, Skins is on TV now.

Jealous Girls, the single originally due to be released in February, has been postponed to make way for the oncoming frenzy. Standing In The Way Of Control has now been placed on the Radio 1 Playlist.

You don't need us to tell you that 2006 was a big year for Portland-based, Arkansas-raised trio, Gossip. It took nearly the entire year, from the initial release of Standing In The Way of Control on import via Kill Rock Stars in February, to the re-release in July by London-based indie label Back Yard, but Gossip proved to be the underground sensation of the year.
