Gossip - Standing In The Way Of Control

Gossip are fronted by the indomitable Beth Ditto, ranked #1 in the NME's 2006 Cool List and subsequently the talk of the town as the first woman to top such a poll - and a curvaceous, outspoken lesbian feminist at that. Brace Paine (guitar) and Hannah Blilie (drums) complete this fierce trio, who have spent the year steadily climbing from their punk rock roots to reach out to a whole new audience.

From the dancefloors of clubs worldwide, to festival fields, auditoriums supporting Scissor Sisters, the living rooms of Jonathan Ross viewers and the cover of the Guardian Weekend supplement, Gossip have made a huge impact and all via independent label Back Yard in the UK.

The Gossip will be in the UK for a handful of shows to support the single in February, including the NME Awards show at the Astoria on the 24th February. The band will return for a more comprehensive tour in April and are currently working on their follow-up album in their adopted home town of Portland.
