Guillemots - Annie, Let’s Not Wait

2006 was a triumphant year for the Guillemots. Their Mercury Music Prize-nominated album 'Through The Windowpane' won rave reviews across the board, was certified gold and - deservedly - put the critically acclaimed quartet on the map. Now, with an arsenal of national sell-out shows under their belt, they kick-start the New Year with the eagerly awaited single 'Annie, Let' Not Wait' on Polydor Records, January 15th.

Written by Fyfe Dangefield and co-produced with Adam Noble, it's the fourth track to be taken from the debut album and follows the hit singles 'Trains to Brazil', 'We're Here' and 'Made-Up Lovesong #43'.

Instantaneous and joyous, the new single boasts luscious harmonies and a lovingly unorthodox, romantic streak. Available on two CDs and 7" vinyl, CD1 contains a previously unreleased strings-only version of 'We're Here', while CD2 boasts the striking demo track 'Photograph', the remarkable Live Lounge recording of Franz Ferdinand's 'Take Me Out' and the impressive video. Meanwhile, the 7" vinyl includes the B-side 'In Your Arms'.

In a fleeting departure from the grandeur of Guillemots, frontman Fyfe Dangerfield will perform two rare solo shows comprising of just that voice and a piano on December 17th (Birmingham's Glee Club) and December18th (London's Bush Hall).
