The release of this definitive career-spanning retrospective will coincide with the broadcast of a BBC commissioned full length documentary covering the length of Paul's career to date, including newly shot, in-depth interview footage, extremely rare performances, and personal materials alongside interviews with key players from the last thirty years.
The one-disc CD version will be presented in a standard jewel case complete with 24 page booklet and feature 23 of the biggest highlights from Weller's incredible career, combining, for the first time ever, Jam, Style Council and solo material.
Additionally, there will be a 4 CD version boxset available which is a definitive collection of all Weller's singles, 67 tracks in total, a dedicated Jam CD, a dedicated Style Council CD and two separate solo discs. This will feature a 60 page book complete with a full career overview from highly respected former NME writer and long-time Weller chronicler Adrian Thrills. The audio releases will be complemented by a stand alone 2 disc DVD which will gather together every single video from all three phases of his career.
The BBC documentary, produced by Double-Jab, the team responsible for acclaimed documentaries of Muhammad Ali, Nat King Cole and Christopher Reeve, to name but a few, is scheduled for transmission on BBC2 around the release of "Hit Parade" and promises to be both revealing and illuminating. The documentary will offer a unique and personal insight into the world of Paul Weller and take the viewer on a magical trip through 30 years of British pop culture, and indeed wider culture as a whole.
In addition there will be a full 15 date UK tour at the end of the year running from 20th November to the 7th December culminating in 4 sold-out dates at the Kentish Town Forum
