ILM: Is there a track you like to play live the most?
Sue: I love playing all the new ones and I still love playing Turn It Up too. In fact I love them all a bit like musical children, but the new ones are always really fun to play out.
ILM: Can you describe the Robots In Disguise process of writing and recording such good music?
Sue: Thanks! With writing me and Dee have a seed each and then we musically mate and see what comes out. Or sometimes we just jam together until a song develops. So far Chris Corner has recorded all 3 albums.
ILM: What would be your ideal night out?
Sue: A bike polo rave, then sex and sleep.
ILM: If you could change one thing about modern society what would it be and why?
Sue: Bring back penny farthings and floggings. .. Nah, I don't know, that question is endless, there's SO much about society that could be changed. My personal aim is to live a good life individually and try to be good to other people and try to be happy. One thing I do think is boring about modern society is the elevated place drink and drugs have in UK society - I think drugs should all be legalised so it's not so exciting and they'd earn loads of tax too - but also the 'partying' culture is very glamourised and really it's just about making boring situations more exciting instead of really looking at your life and making your actual life more interesting and thoughtful and exciting. For me partying is about good music, dancing, having fun, not about the stimulants you eat drink or sniff. Bear in mind I am recently turned straight edge so am still at the evangelical stage. Haha!
