Snow Patrol featuring Martha Wainwright - Set The Fire To The Third Bar

On 13th November Snow Patrol release new single "Set The Fire To The Third Bar" featuring guest vocalist Martha Wainwright. The song was written especially for Martha in the last week of recording current album "Eyes Open".

By chance Martha was touring Ireland at the time. "I'm not a great believer in fate." Says Gary Lightbody. "But when someone called to say "She's here, in this country and she wants to sing it, that was definitely "a moment".

"Set The Fire To The Third Bar" is the follow-up to massive single "Chasing Cars". "Eyes Open" is close to selling 1 million copies in the UK and is GOLD (500,000) in the States where Snow Patrol have just finished an all-conquering tour and are the first UK guitar band in 13 years to break in to the Top 5 of the Billboard Hot 100 (singles) Chart. Digitally, "Chasing Cars" has sold a chart-topping 665,000 units Stateside

Following the release of "Set The Fire To The Third Bar", the Patrol cap off their amazing year with a Sold Out UK arena tour including 2 nights at Wembley.
