These New Puritans - Swords of Truth
These New Puritans (also known as TNPS) are a band who revel in the extra-ordinary. New single, Swords Of Truth, is a testament to this.
Beginning with a fanfare of horn samples, the track pounds with a nervy dubstep-inspired beat and Jack Barnett's estuary-accented half-rapped vocals - an abstract narrative named after terrorist group Swords Of Truth Brigade - build, one voice layered over another, culminating in a linguistic explosion.
Barely out of their teens, TNPS enigmatic fusion of electronica, piercing riffs, the chill of dubstep and post-punk modernism mesmerise, scintillate and challenge their listener in equal measure.
These New Puritans have recently blazed a trail of live dates across the country and tours with Blood Red Shoes and The Kills continues to bring their incendiary shows to their ever growing, fanatical fan base. Not only this, but TNP'S are bringing it all to the U.S when they play SXSW festival.
