With a ghostly pop of shape-shifting white funk, Wave Machines conjure the genre bending single The Greatest Escape We Ever Made released on Chess Club.
Alternate front men, a zither beating bass player, a drummer crowning beats with hooks from an electro vibraphone; Wave Machines produce danceable rapturous pop. At once intricate and thoughtful, but delightfully ebullient and irresistible live, their debut single I Go I Go I Go - released in June - won the endorsement of Zane Lowe, John Kennedy and Huw Stephens, plus a raft of gushing critical acclaim.
Between releases Wave Machines have been curating their own Art, Music and Literary events Wave If You're Really There; feeding their creative craving with mult-media events at their rehearsal and recording HQ, St Brides Church in Liverpool. In conjunction with Liverpudlian art-scenesters Mercy, the self-started - and now Arts Council funded - series runs on September 20th / October 20th / November 29th 2008
Forthcoming Live Dates 2008
26th Oct Liverpool, BBC Electric Proms
30th Oct London, The Elgar Room at The Royal Albert Hall
