elbow - Forget Myself
elbow released their first single from "Leaders Of The Free World", their third studio album, on August 29th.
"Forget Myself" is a hymn to the weekend rituals of the normal British resident and possibly the first song to tackle the imagery of bouncers in the pop canon. The single is already a Zane Lowe single of the week and a firm favourite with Radio 1, Radio 2, Radio 6 and Xfm amongst others.

The single comes on three formats with exclusive tracks and video content. Formats are as follows:
CD
Forget Myself / The Good Day
Maxi CD
Forget Myself / Strangeways To Holcombe Hill in 4 Minutes and 20 Seconds / My Finger / Forget Myself Video
7"
Forget Myself / McGregor
Those who attended the NFT premiere of the DVD version of "Leaders Of The Free World" will recognise "McGregor". Originally a contender for the album, whilst the track ultimately did not suit the style of the finished piece, it was a favourite of the band and the Soup Collective continued on the film which will now find a home on the DVD that comes with initial stocks of "Leaders Of The Free World" in addition to the 7" release. "My Finger" is a cover of a song by good friends and fellow Manchester musicians Indigo Jones.
Elbow recently returned to the live arena with 2 high profile festival performances at Reading and Leeds. The band's two intimate shows at London's Koko and Manchester Ritz are now SOLD OUT, further tour dates will be announced shortly. Check www.elbow.co.uk for details.
