  • Lupe FiascoLupe Fiasco: ilikemusic because... It gives me a chance to escape and reach people I wouldn’t ordinarily be able to reach. And without music the world would be kinda quiet.
  • DanielDaniel: ilikemusic because... When you can finally stop listening to mainstream so called POP and HIPHOP artists you laugh at how bad it really is. ROCK ON MUSE
  • Sarah ChristineSarah Christine: ilikemusic because... Music is like a puzzle. Each peice by itself is unique and looks like no other puzzle peice, but when you put it all together, you expeirience a completely different picture. It's on an almost daily basis that I find myself getting lost in my music, and I love it!

Hard-Fi - Living For The Weekend

Following the top 10 success of their swaggering anthem 'Hard To Beat', Hard-Fi release their new single 'Living For The Weekend' on September 19th 2005 through Necessary/Atlantic.

The title says it all: 'Living For The Weekend' is an hedonistic blast of guitar riffs and synth stabs, documenting the grinding out of nine-to-fives in pursuit of that Friday night clubbing buzz craved by a whole generation of British society.

For Hard-Fi the setting is Staines, tipping a nod to the town's infamous night club Cheekees, but this is a song for anyone in any town. As front man Richard Archer sings: "Oh yeah, I look around me and I can see. This room is full of people like me. All living for the weekend"

'Living For The Weekend' is taken from Hard-Fi's debut album 'Stars Of CCTV'. Recorded in the band's own Cherry Lips studio (a converted cab office on an out of town industrial estate near Staines) and co-produced by Richard Archer and long time cohort Wolsey White, 'Stars Of CCTV' was released on 4th July to huge critical and commercial acclaim.
