Interview #794: At home with Willy Moon Part 2

  • Tue, 2013-02-19 11:19

We spent the afternoon with Willy Moon at his home in London. In the second part of our video interview Willy chats to us about his debut album; "the culmination of every waking hour of my life for the last two or three years."

Due for release on 1st April 2013, the album follows Willy's huge arrival in 2012 with his single Yeah Yeah chosen to soundtrack Apple's iPod ad and a split 7" released by Jack White's label Third Man Records who named him "our absolute favorite producer / singer / rock 'n' roller."

Speaking of the album Willy told us "it's everything that I would want to hear from other people's records. It's a very personal thing. It's my perfect record in a way. It's a collection of all the things that I love."

Arriving armed with a bunch of flowers (Willy was feeling a little under the weather that day), we spent the first part of our afternoon at home with Willy Moon listening to some records from his vinyl collection, watch part 1 here.
