Ali Campbell from UB40 chats to I Like Music
She came to see us in LA the time before last when she was heavily pregnant. It was nice to see her. But then, we started the show there was a spotlight on her; they put a spotlight on her at the back of the place all the way through the show. So she had to sit there with this spotlight on her with everyone going 'ooh blimey look there's Gwen Stefani'. I thought she was quite brave for sticking that out. She was there all the way through the show, because we could all see her.
ILM: And you're doing a special duets concert at the Royal Albert Hall as well. What a line-up!
ALI: That's it. We're inviting everyone over. Smokey's said yes so hopefully they'll all be there and that will be a one-off spectacular for which I'm shitting myself for, but also looking forward to, because that will be amazing.
