ALISON: Thank you. I would say that is an entirely different world. The recording industry is unravelling. I would have no idea how to break into it these days. It seems to be divided in that you either protect your autonomy until such a time that your value is so great the labels are forced to offer you a favourable deal, or you go in as a developing act and take what is offered..which does not seem to be brilliant these days because the labels are so undermined by file sharing and music being devalued.

It is to be remembered that you can have all the artistic and creative freedom you want if you do not expect to become rich on it. Not all art has to be career based.
