Alphabeat chat to I Like Music

ILM: What's the best and worst thing about Copenhagen and about London?

RASMUS: Copenhagen is the capital of Denmark so it's the biggest city, although there are about 1 million people so it's not really that big. But there's a good music scene and a lot of creative things going on there. I can't think of anything bad about it. It's like London, it's huge and people don't look at you if you're wearing something different like tight jeans; they do that a bit in Copenhagen and Denmark. If you're slightly different over here it doesn't matter, because there are so many people so there's always a group to fit into. The worst bit of it is being away from our family and girlfriends, that's pretty hard for us.

ILM: You've followed your dreams. What advice would you give to young people on following their dreams to get the career they want for themselves?

RASMUS: It's always good to keep on trying, even if it doesn't work the first time. Just keep on working hard, so follow your dream and it might come true.

ILM: You went to the same school so must know each other pretty well….

RASMUS: Yeah we've known each other for six years or so. I joined in 2003.

ILM: If you weren't a musician, what would your second career choice have been, did you have a plan B?

RASMUS: No not really, I'm hoping this will last a long time, so I don't have to think about it. Hopefully this will be our job for many years.
