SAM: That has been pretty cool. With that title I've gone to Australia and America and I've been doing quite a lot in England as well. I've sung in big choral venues, like I sang in Canterbury Cathedral and I did the solo in the Chichester Psalms in the Albert Hall, so I've gone around a lot with the Chorister of the Year stuff, so it's been pretty amazing.

ILM: To make the band, there was a two year search to find the best new choral voices in the UK - so you must feel privileged to have made it. How soon were you discovered?

SAM: I was actually found very late. I was found in the final ten. The final for the Chorister of the Year was at the same time as the London Audition, where that was the final ten and was getting knocked down from ten to seven. And I couldn't make it to the audition, so one of the talent scouts came along and saw me win the competition, so he put me in and said I should definitely be up for getting in to the group. So I think all of us have been very lucky to get here. None of us were hanging out, we're all from completely different backgrounds and we weren't really looking out for this at all. Neither was I, I wasn't even really looking to be a chorister, it was sprung upon me really, but it's been very fun!
