  • JunJun: ilikemusic because... music can convey a mood, enhance a mood or change a mood. Music can be used to inspire and the artform is simple yet complicated. It's fun to listen to and even more fun to create and perform. It speaks when just a simple word can't. It's a blessing!!

Ash Chat To I Like Music

Mark: There will be a lot of bonus tracks flying around as well. We haven't finalised all the details yet.

ILM: What made you decide to release so many singles as downloads instead of just compiling them in to another album?

Mark: I think people are just waiting to see if it pans out because if it works, fans will go more subscription-based for new releases. You look at the popularity of Podcasts and iTunes - they're just huge. The fact that you can directly download any new music on to your iTunes now is the way forward. Bands go in these three years cycles of putting out an album and it's an awfully long wait between records. We decided to release the singles like this because this way each song gets more of a spotlight on it. In that sense you do need to watch quality control because the songs will be scrutinised more. Whereas with an album you'd have maybe four or five singles. The rest of it might be looked over.
