ILM: How will the tracks transfer into a live show?

Billy: Well we've already done two very small shows, half an hour sets. We did one in a cafe bar in Paris and then one in a record shop in Berlin.

ILM: How were they?

Billy: They were superb. Really well received. It was free to come along and see us. Just a word of mouth thing. We just turned up and played. We were over their doing promo and interviews and we just thought that instead of talking about the record we might as well play some of it, then journalists could just come along to that. But yeah, we are sort of having to re-learn what we jammed! At the moment, we're playing the record live as the record sounds on the record. As we get more comfortable I'm sure we'll stretch things out a bit. We have a tour coming up in December.

ILM: Who are your musical inspirations?

Billy: I worked in an independent record store in Bristol for ten years. Ages ago. Well, not that long ago actually, I'm not that old! I'm a big vinyl head, I used to go home with records almost every night of the week. I listen to everything. Whether it be jazz or psychedelia, krautrock. To be honest, anything that sounds original or interesting. Or even just a good song. As long as it's good I'll listen to it. If it's crap it's crap isn't it? There's some great pop records out there. You can't really pin it down to any one genre or one artist, music is too exciting to do that.
