Beardyman chats to I Like Music

Beardyman: I could couldn't I? Ha! We played the same gig and we met. I think "worked with" is a term that is banded about very loosely in the industry! I think you will find that a lot of people who have "worked" with other people have actually just been in the same country as them at the same time. Ha! People like Groove Armada I have actually worked with - gone into their studio, recorded sounds and supported them on their tour, that's actually properly "worked with"!

ILM: Any amusing anecdotes that you can share about the tour with Groove Armada?

Beardyman: Plenty of amusing stories, not sure if there are many that I would like to share. I did wake up one day on their tour bus with a T-shirt on saying 'Nobody know's I'm a lesbian' and there was no-one else on the bus and it was 3 in the afternoon. It turns out that the MC had carried me into my bunk because I had fallen asleep. It was a long night before that which I don't remember much of! There are probably amusing anecdotes that other people have got about me from that tour! Haha!
