CLEA are Aimee Kearsley (19 - centre), Emma Beard (21 - left) and Lynsey Brown (22 - right) - the girls formed the band when auditioning for 2002's Popstars: The Rivals. They already have two top 20 hits under their belt (Download It and Stuck In The Middle), and have also earned themselves a reputation as a formidable live act, having supported Blue and Daniel Bedingfield on tour, as well as being hand-picked to play at Prince Albert's Summer Ball in Monaco.
The girls have become a trio, with Chloe leaving the band, and the dynamic is working well. In the last 10 months the girls have been working with producers in Sweden and LA and release their first European album soon.
I LIKE MUSIC caught up with Aimee just before the release of first single, We Don't Have To Take Our Clothes Off to find out why Chloe left and what's been happening since.
ILM: How did the Jermaine Stewart 80's classic 'We Don't Have To Take Our Clothes Off' come about?
Aimee: As soon as we heard it, it was just one of those tracks where we were like, oh my god, we want it, we've got to do it, and the same for all our friends at home like it too. It's like a girly anthem, ideal for getting ready for a night out.
