Shabee Naqvi: ilikemusic because... it takes me away from the pains in life. It's the shoulder I cry on. It's the hug I crave for. It's the smile that lightens up my day...and it pulls me by the ear to a melodious heaven on earth.
Seaney Devereux: ilikemusic because... there's a song for every emotion and music creates debate and debate is what brings us together, it breaks down the walls that seperate sterotypes and it's always involved in your favourite youth memories.
Alison Moyet: ilikemusic because... No one gets to choose mine for me.
Sarah Christine: ilikemusic because... Music is like a puzzle. Each peice by itself is unique and looks like no other puzzle peice, but when you put it all together, you expeirience a completely different picture. It's on an almost daily basis that I find myself getting lost in my music, and I love it!
Lyoko: ilikemusic because... i love dance, indie and urban genres!
Ciarran, The Feeling: ilikemusic because... I find it constantly inspiring and it’s a joy to listen to and a joy to play; it really is a huge part of my life.
oyebola: ilikemusic because... Makes me busy wen bored.
Kevin Michael: ilikemusic because... I’ve been singing my entire life. I cannot go without listening to it or singing for a day. I wake up to it, I go to sleep to it, I am music.
RejinaReclusive: ilikemusic because... it helps me remember. It helps me forget. It helps me be strong and it makes me cry. Music screams the words I can't say, the feelings I can't express. It makes my heart feel alive.
There is a track on the final single release called 33% B-Boy and that was my way of going back and finally fullfilling the plan of making a good instrumental out of it. It was just a case of throwing in a few more breaks that I had that worked with it, and throwing in a few more cuts and scratches just to keep things interesting ... But getting back to the process, its just very much a case of me playing around with old records and seeing what matches with what and what I can manipulate to go with what. Its very much trial and error, a lot of perseverance, and there is definitely a large element of luck in there as well, I gotta be honest.
ilm: Your second longplayer 'If You Can't Join 'Em... Beat 'Em' is also out now on Genuine / PIAS Recordings, can you tell me which track you had the most fun laying down in the studio?
