Sam, Get Cape Wear Cape Fly: ilikemusic because... Music is a special thing that is not like anything else in the world. You might argue that you can translate emotions through films and through books but anyone can make music, whether that be humming or singing along to the radio, it’s something that gives enjoyment and positivity to many people.
James, Maroon 5: ilikemusic because... It is a gateway into the present moment.
Sarah Christine: ilikemusic because... Music is like a puzzle. Each peice by itself is unique and looks like no other puzzle peice, but when you put it all together, you expeirience a completely different picture. It's on an almost daily basis that I find myself getting lost in my music, and I love it!
Jade: ilikemusic because... its amazing,, i always gotta listen to music, such as Nelly, Usher, T.I, ect if theres no music what else is there?
Kevin Michael: ilikemusic because... I’ve been singing my entire life. I cannot go without listening to it or singing for a day. I wake up to it, I go to sleep to it, I am music.
william young: ilikemusic because... The Boat That Rocked started the musical revolution for the musical nation.
Georgia: ilikemusic because... some songs make you wanna dance around till your dizzy, some make you cry your heart out, and some will be playing during an amazing moment and you'll remember it forever.
John: ilikemusic because... it evokes my emotions like nothing else.
Aaron, The Delays: ilikemusic because... It makes everything seem like an incredible film. And it does - it actually does! hahaha! I told the truth and everything....hahaha!
ILM: At least when you've got those people into the venue and they're all enjoying themselves, that's the same?
DAVID: You're totally right. It's a different way, but at the end it's still about a party.
ILM: In 2005 your single The World Is Mine topped European club charts and last year a club anthem of the summer was yourself vs The Egg, Love Don't Let Me Go. Do you have a process of making a dance hit?
DAVID: I start with the music and then I would choose a singer and then work on the melody. But I used to start with only the beat, but now I'm more music orientated. I'm more in to harmonies and melodies. So I'd start with a kick and a bass line and some chords and then produce it more. I'm a DJ first and foremost and I've learned music from going to the studio, so I still have a lot to learn. I use a lot of accidents. It's a balance between a classical way to compose and an experimental way which is more like a DJ thing.
