After ten years hiding under the radar Dodgy are back! They returned in style to support CRISIS, the national charity for single homeless people.
Performing as part of the CRISIS hidden gigs event, Dodgy joined their old friends and former house-mates The Bluetones on stage for one night only. Set to perform at Glastonbury 2009, and with rumours floating around about new material, perhaps even a new Dodgy album, I Like Music caught up with Dodgy drummer Matthew Priest to chat about CRISIS, Glastonbury and their future plans.
"I Like Music because… it makes me realise that life is not a hell hole and that you can infact glimpse eternity. Also, it has given me a living for the last twenty years!" MATTHEW PRIEST, DODGY
ILM: How did you get involved with CRISIS?
Matthew: Well, we were asked by Crisis to help put the gigs together. They asked us who we thought would be good for it and I said "Well, we'd obviously love to be involved, but it's all about selling tickets. We'd want to make it the best line up possible, so why don't we ask our friends The Bluetones." They obviously said yes! The reason I jumped at the chance was because I have been aware of Crisis for a while now.
