Dodgy Chat To I Like Music

ILM: How did you become aware of them?

Matthew: During the Dodgy fame in the nineties we had a guy who used to come and see us play live. He didn't follow us around but he was a bit of a character. He told us how he had been kicked out of his house and was sleeping rough. We tried to help him as much as we could, you know, we looked after him, gave him food and said "You know man, you've got to try and get yourself out of this." But we were always going onto the next town and we couldn't take him with us. Then we didn't see him for a while. But he eventually came back. We saw him and he looked great. He said he got help, a job and accomodation and that it was all down to Crisis. He said that it had been easy, that he'd been helped by real people who were understanding and not patronising, people that had been in similar situations. That's the first time I'd heard of Crisis. I hope that he's doing alright now.
