I Like Music chats to Dom Cook, The Marketing Director of MySpace
ILM: I wanted to talk to you about the singer-songwriter and producer hook up on MySpace. What has been the response so far?
Dom: It has been huge! In the first two days there were 5,000 entries for it! A lot of people out there are looking for an oppurtunity to be a big star!
ILM: I like the fact that it is shrouded in mystery. The producer isn't known and it can be any genre of music! You guys at MySpace must be pleased to help match make the producer and singer in this way?
Dom: MySpace has always been a platform for people to be creative and it is a place where things can happen. It is a place for oppurtunity. We want to be able to highlight people. The front end can direct people to things that happen within the site. It is great to be able to point out these oppurtunities to people.
ILM: It's great for producers to find talent in such a raw way...
