Comprising of a number of tracks already doing the rounds (search for his off-the-wall arty music videos and you will find them) Esser looks set to make his mark this year with his blend of indie-pop tinged with the productions of a bedroom studio made up of instruments, electronic devices, toys and charity shop records.
Soon to support the Kaiser Chiefs on their 2009 arena tour with Black Kids, having previously supported Foals, Esser has also announced a number of headline slots for 2009. ilikemusic caught up with Esser to chat about his latest single Work It Out, his mixtapes, the influences of contemporary art and how keeping his live shows as much down to chance as anything else, gives the exact blend of shambolic, pop based experimentation that he is looking for.

ILM: Can you describe the vibe of your new single Work It Out?
Esser: It's a pleading song. It's also got kind of a vocoder-ey sound. It's a break up song really.
