ILM: Your new solo album is titled Love War and The Ghost of Whitey Ford. What can we expect from this album?
Everlast: I was just trying to make a different sound. Something a little more agressive in terms of production and choice of instrumentation. The writing style and what I do is pretty much in the same vane as what I have done before. I just wanted to move away from the accoustic thing a little bit.
ILM: What have your inspirations been for this album?
Everlast: The inspirations have basically just been not digging the direction America has been taken in recently. I wanted to say something. I figure if you're going to complain and talk s**t about something and you've never really said nothing, then you're kind of a hypocrite. I feel that what I do as an artist is make noise. I have a platform to do that and I wanted the noise that I made to have a little more weight than usual. To try and say something that is on my mind, to get things off my chest.
