Marsha: That track we wrote about 6 months before Common got on it, it was a collaboration that we did with Scott Stortch in Miami. We wrote the song off of a conversation where we thought to ourselves, you know what, most men pretty much haven't been called superstars since they were about 3 or 4 years old and it was their mum saying it because they did something good.
So we just thought, lets take a little bit of time, a lot of people don't really deal with potential as much as the finished product, so we wanted to take a little bit of time to still ourselves and kinda act like we were living in a world that is perfect, and make a song that you could make when things are going better. Superstar was the song that we made.
Then the record label thought that we needed a feature and Common was a label mate at that time, so we got Common on there and Common is really there to just kind of receive the compliment, to show that 'yeh! this compliment is meant for us'.
