ilm: It was actually released for download today. Loads of artists are making it on their own these days using the web. How has the internet effected you guys?
Marsha: I think for artists like ourselves the internet is very necessary, as we are really just about the art. I think industry wise, the old record company needing 3 months to market your product prior to release is not necessary for people like us, because our fans just wanna hear the album, they don't care how many times they hear it on the radio or how many adverts you have on TV, they are really just about the art, so I think the internet has definitely been necessary for people that want to just get some music ...
Natalie: ... And to communicate, we got people on our website from Japan, South Africa, France, you know, places all over the world, so for us, we're a touchy subject in the business, because we're black, female, not American, but British, and the stuff we're talking about has got us up there as deep political beings because we write love songs and so with our audience (where the record company says 'we dont know what we're going to do with them') they are like, ah! Floetry, I like them.
